ABOUT THE COMPOSER

Jennifer Wells is a Music Director at a large parish in the New York metropolitan area.  Trained in classical piano since the age of 3, she is always exploring new ways to utilize her talents.  She holds a B.S. in Piano Performance from Hofstra University, where she also delved into the art of composition and improvisation.  An accomplished organist and all around versatile musician, her other musical interests include singing, and learning how to play new instruments.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to use my gifts in serving the people of my parish, and love to give back by writing original music for use in our liturgies.  As the director of two parish choirs, I am passionate about writing music that is not only crafted with my choristers in mind, but that also allows them and our congregants to enter more deeply into their Faith.  The music of the Liturgy is such a vital component of the Mass, and I am proud to be able to offer my own creativity to help bring our parishioners closer to Christ through music.”
